The fishermen improve their work with a craft workshop (20/11/2009)

The mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya, and the Director General for Transport and Ports of the Ministry of Public Works and Planning, Carmen Sandoval, this morning visited the ship works workshop that the Ministry is running on the port to improve working conditions of fishermen in the municipality.

The works of the new facility will benefit more than two hundred workers and also drive the development of fisheries in the municipality.

The objective of these is to support one of the largest fishing fleets in the region, which in turn should help optimize the working conditions of fishermen.

The infrastructure is located in the south basin of the port near the fish market and will have a floor area of almost 250 square meters.

The works, which have a budget of over € 280,000, will involve the construction of a craft workshop metal structure will also have a mezzanine.
