Over two thousand people visit the Interpretation Centre Phoenician Boat (03/08/2009)

The mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya, and the Councillor of Culture and Tourism, Alicia Jimenez this morning visited the Centre for the Interpretation of Phoenician ships, accompanied by the Director General of Tourism Infrastructure, Marina García Vidal.

The center, which is located on Avenida Tierno Galván in the vicinity of the beach of the island, in its short existence has been visited by over 2,000 people from different places throughout local, regional and national levels.

This cultural and tourist area can be visited free of charge from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 13:00 and 18:30 to 21:30.

The center houses the exhibition of Phoenician ship replica, replica Phoenician pieces and artwork, information boards and the old material contained in this center, which has different elements that provide a comprehensive view on this Phoenician boat dated to the seventh century
