The mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya, and the Councillor of Tourism, Alicia Jiménez, have received this morning at about fifty military barracks originating in the General López Pinto de Cartagena.
The event was held in the Plenary Hall of the town hall of Mazarrón.
This visit is framed in socio-cultural gatherings do these military installations throughout the year, being elected on this occasion the town of Mazarrón and its many attractions such as hosting its 35 miles of coastline, of which 10 are coastal virgin.
During the ceremony, Francisco Blaya, representing the town, has been honored with one of the barracks metopa General López Pinto in gratitude for the warm welcome they have received from the municipal institution.
For its part, the Mayor has given them a gift with the coat of Mazarrón.
Later, the military has begun his visit to the village walking along the most emblematic places of the municipality, accompanied by a tour guide of the Consistory, stopping at the Archaeological Museum Roman Fish Salting Factory, erosions Bolnuevo Auditorium Marquesa de Los Vélez as well as other artistic and historical monuments that make up the town.
