At the request of the City of Mazarrón, the Directorate General of Rural Development under the Ministry of Agriculture it has undertaken the project for upgrading the country road linking the Media League of RM332 to the hamlet of Las Balsicas.
The works, which ended in early December, have included sanitation and strengthening the firm in a total length of 2,590 meters, four centimeters of agglomerated using an average width of 5.2 meters.
The general director of Rural Development, Federico Garcia, visited on Tuesday the final stage of a path that serves many farms and as a result bears considerable daily traffic of heavy vehicles.
In addition, as noted Federico Garcia has improved the signage around the stage and the ground has been corrected to facilitate the evacuation of rainwater.
Alicia Jimenez demand new works to improve rural road network
For this work they have been invested 110,000 euros.
The mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jiménez, expressed his satisfaction with this performance, "demanded at the beginning of term and rush a few months."
Also, to the mayor it is a work that serves a dual purpose, "because besides the agricultural service, also improves access to one of the districts of the municipality".
The mayor used the visit of Federico Garcia to ask other enhancements that improve the rural road network in the municipality.
Among these improvements is the path known as Las Monjas, rural roads and other points as requested in Cañada de Gallego and Pastrana.
The performance of the Media League to Las Balsicas is part of the group of works on rural roads in the Region of Murcia, which allowed in the last six months of 2015 improved more than 18 kilometers in 11 rural roads in 10 municipalities, with a total investment of 900,000 euros.
The aim of this work is to facilitate access to farms and structure the territory in rural areas of the Region.
