Community council will improve the sewerage port of Mazarrón and rural roads (04/08/2015)

The Ministry of Water, Agriculture and Environment will invest, through the Directorate General for Water, in improving the sewerage system of Mazarron, on the bay management area.

The works are carried out at the behest of the City of Mazarrón and will involve improving sanitation network services a registered population of about 12,000 inhabitants, amounting to about 100,000 in summer.

The Minister of Water, Agriculture and Environment, Adela Martinez-Cache, the works announced by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jimenez.

The work consists on the one hand, the expansion of the existing collector at Sierra de las Moreras, by installing a new one greater than the current capacity.

Running a PVC pipe collector with a nominal diameter of 300 mm at a length of 300 meters, and the corresponding replacements of affected services and manholes necessary contemplated.

On the other hand, it is expected to eliminate the problem of poor drainage capacity of the existing collector Avenue Bolnuevo by building back along the street of the island and River Street Argos one to connect with the collector Via Axial, eliminating a pumping station wastewater.

PVC pipe 400 mm nominal diameter and projecting sealed wells, also of PVC, to reduce the infiltration of seawater.

Investment in the two performances reached 400,000 euros.

Construction will begin in late 2015 to allow entry into service by the summer of 2016.

Conditioning of rural roads

In addition, the Ministry of Agriculture has agreed to repair rural roads that connect the Media League with Las Balsicas Mazarrón on the one hand and with the other Los Lorentes.
