Fernando Villamía receives tonight the award-winning short story competition XXXI town of Mazarrón (31/07/2015)

The Story Contest Villa de Mazarrón Segado Antonio del Olmo, organized by the Popular University and the City of Mazarrón, already has its winners of the 2015 edition, the number Villamía 31. Fernando Ugarte, born in Vitoria and living in Alicante, It has proved to be the winner of the contest with his story "Kandinsky syndrome" presented under the slogan "Larrea", for which finally receive a prize endowed with 3,600 euros and plate.

The second prize was awarded to Solano Josefina Maldonado, Alhaurin el Grande (Malaga) for the story entitled "Old Also Cry" presented under the slogan "Anastasio Bridges".

The second prize winner will get a gifted prize of 2,400 euros and a plaque.

The ceremony takes place on Friday July 31 at the Playa Grande Hotel, from 23:00.

The jury XXXI Story Contest "Villa de Mazarrón Segado Antonio del Olmo" was composed by Mari Angeles Rodriguez of the University of Murcia, Fernando Fernandez, editor, Ignacio Martin Lerma, a professor at the University of Murcia and poet, Natxo Vidal Guardiola , writer and Jose Maria Lopez Ballesta, director of the People's University of Mazarrón.

For this year's competition were presented 956 works arrived from different parts of the national territory and Latin America, mainly.

Villamía Fernando Ugarte.

Born in Vitoria, in the year 1957.

He is professor of Institute of Language and Spanish Literature.
