The School of Architecture and Building Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) has inaugurated this afternoon the #ONfest, a festival of architecture today and tomorrow holds workshops, lectures, performances, demonstrations and debates by engaging students, teachers and professionals.
An exhibition with the most relevant jobs subjects and urban planning projects that integrate the teaching project 'ArquitecturaON' is the centerpiece of the event.
The exhibition project will be enriched by holding sessions criticism, to be attended by invited to comment on the projects, as Juan Antonio Molina, José Manuel Chacon, The Maker Spheras and other architects.
Various associations participating in the event, as Huermur, Architects Without Borders and Famdif, which will hold a workshop on site.
The event includes many workshops and complementary over two days activities, ending with a meal on campus and acoustic concert in the old ship engines Campus Alfonso XIII, space that will house the future headquarters of the School Architecture and Building Engineering.
ArquitecturaON is a teaching innovation project coordinated by Professor Marcos Ros and intended for students in third, fourth and fifth grade of Architecture.
It involves 14 teachers throughout the course 2014/2015 have been working alongside his students a new way of thinking and understanding architecture shaping their theoretical overview in different areas of the town have been selected by teachers in collaboration with the City of Mazarrón.
About 200 students of Architecture degree UPCT have taken this course architectural projects to different sites Mazarrón.
