All set for the awards ceremony of the XXX edition of Tales Contest Villa de Mazarrón (25/07/2014)

"Life is like literature and in literature, in life you have to follow your dreams, no matter how difficult they may seem."

So the writer Carmen Amoraga expressed in Mazarrón visiting to attend the XXX edition of the contest stories of village.

The winner of the Nadal Prize this year gave a lecture presented by Soren Penalver, in which he detailed his love of books and experience as a storyteller.

Carmen Amoraga has served on the jury of this year to choose the top two stories of the Contest Villa de Mazarrón-Segado Antonio del Olmo.

Amoraga said it was very easy to work with peers and jury, however, was very difficult to choose one of the stories, because of their high quality.

Alongside Amoraga was Mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Garcia, who wanted to thank the writer's presence in our town.

The mayor said the council supported the contest stories that after thirty years has managed to root through the work of the People's University.

Garcia also had words of praise for the work performed by the Department of Culture, whose mayor, Ginés Campillo, stressed the commitment that has been done in recent years by appointment to disseminate the culture within and outside the district.

This Friday, starting at 11 pm, will be the award of the XXX edition of the contest.

Marta Guiberteau, Badajoz, will receive the first prize for his story titled "... and wait."

While Alicante, José Ignacio Sendón, collect the second prize for "Speechless".

Over 1400 original have been submitted to this contest this year, reports coming from all over the world, from Latin America to the Middle East.
