6 Blue Flags will fly this summer on the beaches of Mazarrón, one more than last year.
The Foundation for Environmental Education has awarded again in this edition this flag to the beaches of El Alamillo, El Rihuete, El Puerto, La Reya (Big Bay) and El Castellar (Playa Grande).
To them this year adds Nares beach and Mazarrón being the second town of the Region of Murcia with more Blue Flag just behind Cartagena.
Councilman Coastal Services, Miguel M Âª García, is very pleased with this increase as "the City Council are working very carefully to our beaches are in good condition throughout the year."
The mayor added that "in this work, we are also expanding the services offered on our beaches such as the beach bars. Here now come in three new tender Cairn beaches, and Bolnuevo Percheles".
The new Blue Flag Nares has helped the Region of Murcia has managed to increase the Blue Flags in 7 collected in 2013.
