'Peter and the Wolf' is a musical tale for narrator and orchestra, composed by Sergei Prokofiev in 1936.'s Story is based on a traditional Russian tale and was commissioned by the 'Center for Children's Theatre in Moscow' with a didactic purpose : to teach the children the timbre of the instruments of the orchestra.
The event has the support of the Department of Culture of the City of Mazarrón.
Each of the characters in this story has assigned an instrument and a musical theme.
The characters are: Peter, the boy protagonist of the story (Woods), his grandfather (bassoon), bird (flute), duck (oboe), cat (clarinet), wolf (horns) and hunters (drums and bass).
