Nearly 400 users IMAS centers spend there stays of different duration in summer

The School House Rock of Mazarrón continue welcoming people with disabilities in nursing homes and centers for holiday periods IMAS once the Community has decided to keep it under your property.

The Ministry of Finance has removed this property from the list of properties taken to auction, as has been told the Federation of Organizations for Persons with Intellectual Disability (FEAPS) of the Region of Murcia.

This is great news for users of IMAS in general and for people with intellectual disabilities and their families in particular.

Only three months of the summer season last year, 380 users with disabilities of IMAS centers passed through these facilities.

To these we add those who used them throughout the rest of the year.

The residence was among the nine properties put up for sale last December, having not found a buyer in the first auction.

Now, the Ministry has taken the decision to get past El Peñasco as FEAPS Murcia sued.

Therefore, the Federation wants to show their satisfaction with the decision and thanks to director Juan Bernal to echo your request.

Many of the beneficiaries of the Peñasco are people with intellectual disabilities or cerebral palsy whose public schools are integrated into AMPAS FEAPS Murcia.

These associations raised concerns about the possible loss of a resource so useful for hundreds of families throughout the region.

FEAPS Murcia is the result of the union of 3,000 families who work together for the welfare of people with intellectual disabilities in 26 associations.

These, in turn, make up the Federation of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities and Cerebral Palsy Murcia drives their work in improving the quality of life of these people and those around them.

FEAPS provides a unified and stronger for the group that composes his representation in regional and national forums through state Confederation voice.
