Thousands of people accompany the Immaculate in a warm morning of Miracle (17/11/2013)

A November 17, 1585, according to legend, the Immaculate Conception drove the Barbary pirates to Mazarron coast horseback, leaving behind a trail of lilies.

Today, 428 years later, Mazarron have returned to celebrate this 'Miracle' and have done with the popular pilgrimage to which thousands of people have attended.

Many residents and tourists have covered the route between Mazarrón and Bolnuevo, accompanying the Virgin to which salves and chants directed.

The pilgrims, among whom were many riders, have overcome the cold early morning and the sun has befallen conform giving them a warm day the hours passed.

The council of Celebration, Isidro Coy, explained that "last night on the beach and due to the cold was less crowded than other years, but today has been a lot of people who accompanied La Purisima to Bolnuevo, one of the years in which more people have made the road next to the image of the Virgin ".

When reached Bolnuevo Purisima, after his usual stop at the desalination 'Virgen del Milagro' where the pilgrims have shared a meal, he walked the streets of the popular fishing village, also celebrated a Mass in his honor at the beach.

Place which also carried out the traditional sharing among attendees sardines that have accompanied this Moraga with dishes and traditional local desserts like salted, tomato, breadcrumbs, rice, all sauteed with the best beer and wine.

The Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, has been happy to see that "we turn Mazarron always our patron and we amedrantamos to celebrate in his honor is date, sharing good times with family and friends."

The mayor stressed that "we are a united people around the Purisima and the Miracle, a date that is and will remain one of the most important days of the year and have more meaning for us all."
