Tourism expands cultural routes for walkers and September (30/08/2013)

The Department of Tourism of the City of Mazarrón has prepared for the September routes around the city, expanding the summer program has had great success in participation and that, after that warm welcome, it was decided to extend until 15 September.

The Councillor for Tourism, Maria Celeste Soria, explained that "we have undertaken a small effort for tourists arriving in the coming weeks also can enjoy these activities in which hundreds of people participated and even, for the first again, have caused long queues at the gates of the Tourist Office ".

So, on Wednesday September 4 will be the route named 'Mazarrón Mining', with a tour of the mines that will take participants on a tour through the history of the town linked to the mines.

The meeting point for the activity will be the Town Hall in the Town Hall at 18:30.

Two days later, on Friday, September 6, will be held a "Scenic Route in the Sierra of the mulberry trees," whose meeting point is in front of the 'Oasis of Palms' Bolnuevo at 18 hours.

The route has a low medium difficulty and it is advisable to wear suitable shoes and water.

On Wednesday, September 11 will be the turn of the cultural route called 'Puerto de Mazarrón and history', visiting the 'Phoenician Ship Interpretation Centre', the Roman house and the street was the Municipal Archaeological Museum 'Salt Roman Factory' , being the meeting point Tourist Office located in Coopers Square at 19 pm.

Finally on Saturday 14 and Sunday September 15 the path recover 'From Cape to Cape' with medium difficulty.

It is a two-day route that will run between Cabo and Cabo Cope Tiñoso, through sites such as Calnegre tips Percheles, Bolnuevo and the Azohía.

The Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, has invited tourists "to participate in these activities that the municipality can learn from different perspectives, both its natural and heritage as its history, being especially attractive 'From Cape to Cape' ".

The mayor stressed that "we must recover this activity because it was very well received and so we have asked many people".
