The auditorium of the Casa de Cultura de Mazarrón yesterday hosted the awards ceremony of the second edition of the contest love poetry "statement you" that has promoted the Department of Culture, through local libraries and Puerto de Mazarrón.
The awards were presented by the Councillor of Culture, Maria Celeste Soria, who was accompanied by the mayor of Rural Development, Magdalena Mendez.
Soria thanked "the high turnout that has returned to this year's contest, this time, has had two modalities. A for students of institutes of the municipality, as last year, and a new adult".
In the student category, the first prize of the literary contest, consisting of a mini laptop and a diploma, was placed in the hands of Jorge Lopez Girl who convinced the jury with his poem "I need you today."
The second prize in this category, equipped with an e-book and diploma, went to Eduardo Paredes Risueño for his work "The Sea".
Finally, the third prize of an mp3 and diploma, was for Salvador Madrid Vivancos for his poem "If you love, do not be silent."
All students belong to IES awarded "Domingo Valdivieso" which has been a high participation.
In the adult category, the winner of the first prize of two tickets to the theater Romea, a pen and a diploma, was Rosa Rico Campillo who attended the contest with the poem "A smile to breathe."
Tárraga Enrique Rodriguez took second prize for his "Verses for the days of August", taking a $ 50 voucher for books, a pen and diploma.
The third prize of pen and diploma, went to Juana Jimenez Pastrana for the poem "I have a love."
All winners read their works on stage at the hall of the House of Culture.
