The council gives a space to the Brotherhood of Sorrows to save their thrones (18/01/2013)

This morning the Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, and the president of the Brotherhood of Our Lady of Sorrows of Puerto de Mazarrón, Eusebio Sanchez, have signed a collaboration agreement which the City gives a space to that brotherhood to can keep their thrones Easter.

The municipality grants the use, free of charge, of a unit attached to the stadium "Playasol" to the brotherhood, to change it in charge of carrying out the rehabilitation of the space in return.

The term of the agreement signed today will last one for a period of four years and the Department of Sports will oversee that the space provided is used in the terms set out therein.

The Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, explained that "the Brotherhood of Our Lady of Sorrows approached us because he needed a place to have their thrones and saw that this space could mean the solution to this request."

The mayor also said at the signing that "this is a small gesture that we show our strong commitment to the municipality Easter and cultural value is within the social and tourist Mazarrón."

Ginés Campillo wished that "this event continues to grow and with the support and participation of both the Guildhall and citizens, get him the importance and value it deserves."

For his part, President of the Brotherhood of Our Lady of Sorrows, Eusebio Sanchez has been very grateful to the City "for listening to our needs and help us so that we can have a place where to keep our thrones. Was a problem that, as I said to the mayor, we have long been able to have with him and now this dependence will help us a lot in preparing our Easter ".
