Mazarrón Town Council has signed three cooperation agreements aimed at developing projects that improve the lives of people at risk of social exclusion and the largest in the municipality.
Specifically, we have signed agreements with Mazarrón Parish Caritas, Caritas Parish of Puerto de Mazarrón and the Downtown Association Senior Day Mazarrón.
In the case of cooperation agreements with the two agencies parish Caritas, the session gives the amount of 5,000 euros each for the purchase of food and other essential items on the premises of the municipality to be distributed between those who, before the economic crisis, are experiencing difficulties.
The Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, was responsible for signing two agreements that also signed the priest Julio Romero, president of Caritas Parish of Mazarrón, and Justo Pastor Jose Sanchez, president of Caritas Parish of Puerto de Mazarrón.
As explained by the Mayor, "the intervention of municipal services in food sometimes take several weeks to become effective, so that with these conventions we have a fast track serious intervention in situations of urgent need."
The mayor stressed the "excellent work that these organizations are developing in the municipality to help our neighbors, and deserve our recognition and support by the municipality in order to maintain social policies that we believe are so necessary."
Also, Ginés Campillo signed with Vicenta Perez, president of the Downtown Association Senior Day Mazarrón, an agreement with which gives 2,500 euros for this group to develop cultural activities, leisure and exchange with other major centers in the region or beyond.
The Mayor welcomed "the many activities that the association organizes and positive impact on the greatest of our town and is also important that they have our support is that of all the people."
