The band of the Musical Association "Master Eugenio Calderon" took the stage, on Saturday May 26 at school, "The Aceña" de Mazarron, the musical tale "Peer Gynt" in the second series "Family Concert" which organized the association.
Under the baton of director Alejandro Castañeda Martínez, the music of romantic composer Edvard Grieg was played to perfection by members of the band.
The pieces in this suite, the most popular and well known in classical music, blew the audience's imagination.
Peer Gynt's story begins with "Morning", to enter after him on the back of a pig in "The Cave of the Mountain King" inhabited by trolls and elves evil.
The suite continues with the sad "Death of Asse," his mother, who gives way to a journey with the protagonist to exotic places where you can enjoy the rhythm of three-four, of the "Dance of Anitra".
After a life of adventure and penniless, comes "The Return of Peer Gynt" and the encounter with the woman who had always been waiting to "Solveig's Song."
The narrator Juan Jose Miñarro Alcázar, a regular contributor to the music school as a teacher of music theory, helped the imagination of putting these voices to the characters, including the crow, trolls and elves.
The audience, almost two hundred people both children and adults, enjoyed the music and history as demonstrated by the attention given during the concert and ate with enthusiastic applause at the end of the performance.
The Musical Association "Master Eugenio Calderon" wants to thank their cooperation to CEIP "The Aceña" and the City of Mazarron, as well as the VHS that prints posters and local media to publicize their activities.
This new success of the partnership is in addition to that obtained with the staging of "The Threepenny Opera" that was held in the IES "Philip II" Mazarrón also within the cycle of "Family Concerts".
