Devotion, fun and excitement fills the sheep pen on the day of its patron (09/09/2011)

The hamlet of La Majada yesterday enjoyed a day of their patroness, the Immaculate Conception, thanks to the many activities planned for the occasion.

The day started with a water festival in which both young and old, enjoyed a big cooling each other.

After the game, attendees tasted a sardine barbecues accompanied by boiled potatoes with garlic.

In the afternoon, there was the Mass in honor of the Immaculate which was officiated by Julio Romero, parish priest of San Andres and San Antonio, in the chapel of the sheep pen which had been decorated with great skill florally for the occasion.

The Mass was attended by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, the Councillor for Agriculture and Rural Development, Magdalena Mendez, the Councillor for Social Policy, Health and Equality, María Martínez, Councillor for Urban Public Services Management, Juan Miguel Muñoz, and the village headman of the village, Sergio Martinez.
