Mazarrón Ecuadorian community and venerated the Virgin of Cisne on your big day (14/08/2011)

The image of "The Churonita" paraded through the square of Covent who was decorated for the occasion

Tens of Ecuadorian citizens, along with other residents of Mazarrón, yesterday revered Virgen del Cisne on your big day.

The Shrine of the Immaculate Conception became too small to accommodate the large number of faithful who attended the solemn celebration of Mass in honor of the Virgin and was officiated by the parish priest of the parish of San Antonio and San Andrés, Julio Romero.

The Mass was attended by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, the first deputy mayor, Francisco Garcia, the council of Celebration, Trade and Consumer Affairs, Coy Isidro, the Councillor for Culture, Tourism and Education, Maria Celeste Soria, and the Councillor Social Policy, Health and Equality, María Martínez.

After the Mass, the image of "The Churonita" popular name known to this Marian title was ported to shoulder in procession by the faithful visiting the Plaza del Convento, which was festooned with garlands of flowers and fruits for the occasion.

After the parade processional, the president of the guild "Virgen del Cisne", José Luis Macas, thanked all those present and their attendance and invited authorities to neighbors and countrymen to enjoy the events planned at the fairgrounds that evening.

Among these events was a raffle popular presentation of a dance group composed dances Ecuadorian residents of the municipality, various musical performances and a burning fireworks and known as "straw tied" which were created by a delegation of Ecuadorian citizens from the municipality of San Javier.

The celebrations have also benefited from having two homers volleyball and football, "indoor" and games for children and adults such as pots enchanted career sacks, chair dance, dance, tomato, egg-air, greasy pole and food binges.

In addition, the bars installed at the fairgrounds was able to taste typical dishes of the Ecuadorian gastronomy among most notably the Creole chicken broth, the guinea pig Johanan, tamales, sausages, kebabs and fry among many others.

Also noteworthy is the large influx of people of Ecuador who came to Mazarrón from several neighboring municipalities, as these celebrations have become a benchmark for this community at the regional level.
