Pupils of 1 Primary schools in the municipality of Mazarrón have been implicated in the final weeks of the second edition of the Campaign for Non-Sexist Education: Equal Education. "
The mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya, Councillor for Social Policy, Yolanda Vivancos, and the Councillor for Education, Concepción Ballesta, schoolchildren have been wrapped in one of the sessions held in the CEIP Francisco Caparrós.
The main objective, more than fulfilled, is to continue working on equal opportunities for boys and girls and help the teachers to remove the roles and stereotypes since childhood, using the school as a key tool in building an egalitarian society.
Through theater and puppet show, as well as chips and teaching materials, school children have already experienced the importance of treating others on an equal footing regardless of sex.
The drama, entitled 'A chest of stories ", has recreated the history of Trotavientos pirate, a brave adventurer who has traveled the seas in search of hidden treasure that different stories where the girls were heroines, determined and resolvent, where kids are shy, loving, tender, peaceful and willing to follow them on their adventures.
The purpose of this program were: equal education from the school, prevent violence, increasing awareness among all students, banishing stereotypes and promoting a fairer society.
