Students of the Open Classroom of the IES Domingo Valdivieso de Mazarrón have read this Friday the Manifesto of the World Day of the Infantile and Juvenile Book that is celebrated every year in the week of the 2 of April, day in which the birth of the Danish writer Hans Christian is commemorated Andersen
The text chosen for this year has been prepared by the Latvian author Inese Zandere.
With this activity has started the program of the Municipal Library Network for the next three months.
Patricio Sánchez, Councilor for Education and Libraries, wanted to be present in this first day dedicated to the students of the open classrooms of the educational centers of the municipality.
Exhibitions, music, workshops and Library on the Street
During the months of April, May and June, the Department of Libraries of the City of Mazarrón will develop an extensive program that includes exhibitions, music and various workshops.
Stresses the activity "The Library goes out to the street" that was launched in 2017. It will take place on Wednesday April 18 at the Plaza of the Autonomous Communities of Puerto de Mazarrón and on Thursday April 26 at the Garden of the Immaculate of Mazarrón, according to has emphasized the person in charge of the municipal network, Magdalena Campillo.
On Friday, April 13, Antonio Cano will present his book "Epitafio en la arena", a novel set in the famous "crime of the Three Cups".
It will be at the Cultural Center at 8:00 p.m.
The exhibition "History of the Scripture" that has been shown successfully in the Library of Puerto de Mazarrón will be inaugurated in the Library of Mazarrón on April 17, being able to visit until May 7.
While at the Library of Puerto de Mazarrón, on April 19 the exhibition "The Books of the Old School" will be inaugurated.
It can also be visited until May 7.
In both cases, the visiting schedule coincides with the opening hours of the libraries.
The Musical Association Maestro Eugenio Calderón collaborates in the programming with the concert "Tócame un cuento".
It will be Friday, April 20 at 8:30 p.m., in the CIME exhibition hall;
with the participation of Teatro "De Rosa" and theater group of IES Antonio Hellín
The Councilor for Education and Libraries, Patricio Sánchez, also recalled the figure of Marina Orero, member of the Reading Club and collaborator of the Library Network who recently died.
Marina will receive a tribute posthumously on Friday, April 27, at the Puerto de Mazarrón Library at 6:00 p.m.
On Friday June 1 at 8:00 pm at the Cultural Center will proceed to the delivery of the "We like to read" + Children and Adult Reader.
