Mazarrón has been one of the municipalities awarded for the prizes of the SICTED project (Integral System of Tourist Quality in Destinations) promoted by the Secretary of State for Tourism.

The award was collected by the Councilor for Tourism, María Ángeles Román, in an event that took place last Friday at the International Tourism Fair of Madrid (Fitur).

The municipality has been recognized as a new destination.

In its report highlights the six beaches that have the flag with the Q of Tourism Quality: Castellar, Bolnuevo, La Reya, Nares, Bahia and Rihuete.

With this distinction, Mazarrón joins other municipalities of the Region of Murcia also considered as destination Sicted.
