The students of the schools and institutes of the municipality participate from this Monday in the Week of the Prevention of Fire.
An agenda of activities will spread among the students of Mazarrón the necessary knowledge to avoid risks.
The initiative is organized by the Mapfre Foundation and the Professional Association of Fire Technicians (APTB) in collaboration with the Municipality of Mazarrón and the Fire Fighting Consortium of the Region of Murcia.
The activity was presented this Monday in Murcia by the General Director of Emergencies of the Autonomous Community, José Ramón Carrasco.
The ceremony held at the headquarters of the General Directorate was attended by the Councilor for Education, Patricio Sánchez, who highlighted "the importance of this type of initiatives as they work with younger generations, stressing the importance of prevention of risks in the home ".
The event was attended by Alfonso García, manager of the Fire Extinguishing Consortium, José Manuel Martínez, representative of Mapfre, Gabriel Muñoz, of the Professional Association of Firemen Technicians and Juana Guardiola, mayor of Jumilla, a municipality that organize the activity during the next week.
On Monday they began to give talks about self-protection at school and at home.
It has been in the schools Siglo XXI, Bahia, Miguel Delibes and Infanta Leonor.
This Tuesday, January 16, this same talk will be given in the schools Ginés García, San Antonio and Manuela Romero.
On Wednesday, January 17, the IES Antonio Hellín and Domingo Valdivieso de Mazarrón will be the scene of a simulation of emergency and evacuation.
At 5:30 p.m., the Mazarrón Day Center will host a self-protection talk at home addressed to neighborhood communities and small businesses.
The talks will return to schools on Thursday, January 18.
In this case, they will be taught at the Francisco Caparrós, La Aceña and La Cañadica centers.
A preventive talk will also be offered at the Mazarrón Day Center.
The activity will culminate on Friday, January 19 with a Prevention Party in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.
