CSO Pictures Asturian win the second contest of Survival Film (11/04/2016)

Mazarrón was the setting for recording 13 teams competed for shoot and edit a short film in 45 hours.

Mines stage for the best location

Pictures CSO Asturian this weekend became the first prize of Mazarrón Survival Film Contest II.

The recording equipment was awarded 1,000 euros for his short film "The End of the World".

Its members took 45 hours to shoot and edit the recording material with twelve other participating teams.

The event began last Friday with the reception and the drawing of the elements that determined its development: a film genre, an element of surprise (which on this occasion was a bag of tomatoes) and location of Mazarrón.

The winning team shot his short film at the Cabezo del Santo and the Plaza Miguel Angel Blanco de Mazarrón.

The second prize went to Twin Freaks of Murcia and his short film "Heroines for a day", awarded 500 euros.

The special award for best use of location outside Infarction Films of Alicante for the short "Reserve 83" shot in the Mines of Mazarrón.

This short film was awarded 500 euros.

The award for best actress went to Andrea Rosillo by the short "The end of the world".

The star actress gave his award winning short (a photo shoot) the girl who helped in the filming.

The best actor award went to Juan J. Velasco for the short "MVI.0095".

Pedro Martinez Pagán, Councillor for Culture and Miguel Jesus Morales, organizer of the event, presided over the composition of the jury.

Participants may screenings of short this week in www.supervivenciafilmica.net, www.mazarron.es, Youtube channels of Superviencia Film City Hall and Telesatélite Mazarrón Mazarrón.

The event has been completed throughout the weekend with an agenda of cultural events included the screening of a documentary dedicated to Mazarron Photographer Francisco Garcia Jorquera, the performance of the theater group Canalejas with a tribute to Cervantes, screening of short films, one youtubers and talk with a special concert of soundtracks.

All activities were developed in the Cultural Center of Mazarrón.
