The Civil Guard uncovers several false allegations and is investigating five complainant (05/04/2016)

They denounced crimes they never committed

The purpose of this type of crime is usually the scam insurance companies for payment of compensation

The Civil Guard in the region of Murcia has developed the operation 'SIDEMA', an investigation to clarify the alleged authorship of several crimes reported by five citizens who finally have been investigated as suspected perpetrators of crime simulation, charge false and fraud.

The investigation began when the Meritorious noted certain inconsistencies in several complaints filed in the Main Post Mazarrón, in which denuncniante reported having been victims of robbery with violence and intimidation or identity theft.

In order to clarify the confusing data appearing in the complaints, the Civil Guard initiated the operation 'SIDEMA' to investigate the circumstances surrounding each witness, suspected of concealing a scam to utility companies, mobile telephony and insurance companies, solve crimes reported and stop, if any, the perpetrators of such crimes.

Two false crimes of robbery with violence and intimidation

The Civil Guard has investigated two complaints of robbery with violence and intimidation in which the complainants claimed to have been assaulted by several individuals when they made a withdrawal at ATMs of Mazarrón.

The development of investigations to identify and arrest these alleged muggers, has allowed to find out that complainants claim the monetary amount sought reported to an insurance company.

The investigations carried out have allowed to clarify that such thefts were never committed, which have been investigated two people who have been instructed proceedings as alleged perpetrators of crime of crime simulation.

Swindle

Other complaints concerned the usurpation of civil status of the complainant for hiring the power of a commercial establishment run by a family.

The investigation now had generated a debt of more than 600 euros with the energy company and allegedly and to avoid payment, he reported that a family had made the contract high in his name without his consent.

The Civil Guard has found that the high supply contract was made by the complainant, which has resulted investigated on suspicion of swindle.

Crime of false accusation

The Civil Guard has also investigated a young employee of a catering establishment, which denounced a robbery when he was working in the town of Mazarrón in the home pizza delivery.

The complainant claimed to have been the victim of a robbery committed by a big man, when he went to an address to deliver an order.

The young man claimed that this alleged offender hit him and snatched a satchel on carrying 350 euros of revenue.

The investigations carried out have allowed to find out that such events never occurred, so the complainant has been investigated on suspicion of misdemeanor false accusation.

Simulation crime crime

Another of the complaints investigated helped to clarify an alleged offense committed by simulating the complainant himself who appeared before the Civil Guard to report a scam.

The investigation now claimed to have agreed with a third party, buying and discharge in good faith, a terminal mobile telephony to its name.

The alleged victim claimed that the costs of such a purchase they were never paid him.

The Civil Guard has found that it is a crime simulation with which the complainant sought to circumvent the economic cost resulting from the purchase and discharge line to the supply company.

The investigation culminated with a person under investigation on suspicion of felony crime simulation.

Operation 'SIDEMA' has culminated in five people surveyed men, Spaniards, aged between 22 and 65 years of age who are credited with authorship of the crimes alleged simulation of crime, false accusation and fraud.

The proceedings initiated have been made available to the Magistrate's Court in Totana (Murcia).
