About 1,200 students from 13 schools in Mazarrón involved, during this course, in a new edition of the Southeast program that promotes the Department of Environment of the City of Mazarrón.
municipal technicians and educators coordinate various activities focused on about 40 trips abroad where students learn to know and respect the natural and cultural heritage of the municipality.
The students visit the municipality streams and mountains and natural landscapes with history and archaeological sites.
Also, each month, a group visits the municipal fire station where they receive information from the proceedings in the nature of the brigades.
The objective of this program, which meets more than a decade, is "awareness and convey respect for the natural environment, making it also from an early age", as recalls the mayor of the Environment, Maria Isabel Lopez.
