The Maestro Eugenio Calderón Musical Association will offer the traditional concert of Santa Cecilia, patron saint of musicians, on December 6, within the framework of the festivities of Mazarrón.On November 22, the day of Santa Cecilia, the music bands program concerts and various activities to celebrate the day of the musicians.
This year, despite the exceptional circumstances in which we find ourselves due to Covid-19, and despite the restrictions to rehearse and perform concerts, most of the music bands in the Region are celebrating their concerts in the open air.

The Mazarrón Music Band joins this event, which has not been lacking since 1985.This year the Mazarrón Music Band celebrates 35 years of history.
The Santa Cecilia concert will be the commemoration of this anniversary, a modest celebration marked by the current situation that restricts both the number of musicians and the public capacity, but full of enthusiasm and optimism.The first part of the concert will be carried out by the Adult Band, made up of students from the music school, who will offer four short pieces.
The Mazarrón Music Band will then perform with a varied and entertaining repertoire in which pieces of zarzuela, boleros, soundtracks and pasodobles will be interspersed.The Santa Cecilia concert will take place on Sunday, December 6, at 12:30 pm in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento de Mazarrón.
