The exhibition "Monumental Sculptures" by Juan México says goodbye to Mazarrón after an excellent reception (04/10/2020)

| The mayor of Mazarrón, Gaspar Miras, has given the artist a sculpture of the Phoenician Ship in gratitude to the 'Fundación México' for bringing to the municipality his works | The mayor of Mazarrón, Gaspar Miras, and the sculptor Juan México have closed this morning the exhibition 'Monumental Sculptures' that throughout the summer has been enjoyed on the 'Agustín Herrerín' promenade in Puerto de Mazarrón. An exhibition that has had an excellent reception as it has filled the aforementioned promenade next to La Ermita beach with life, where neighbors and visitors have come to contemplate it, thanking this initiative that has brought art to citizens in a direct way. Gaspar Miras has delivered a sculpture of the Phoenician Ship of Mazarrón to the author in recognition of the 'Fundación México' for the deference of bringing these works to the municipality, which will now continue their journey through other cities of the Spanish geography. For his part, Juan México has shown his "satisfaction with the reception of the exhibition" and his "gratitude to the City Council for welcoming us in this exceptional setting by the sea, being one of the best scenarios where this exhibition has been, which is going to meet already eleven years". The author has explained that from the 'Fundación México' "we always have initiatives and projects of different formats to share that common good that is Culture and with these sculptures in the street everyone can approach and take pictures to enjoy them.

it has always been my intention, to bring Culture to the streets ". Gaspar Miras stressed that "with this closure, we closed the cultural activities that the Mazarrón City Council established for the summer season" thanking the aforementioned foundation "for giving us the detail of being able to enjoy these sculptures that at first surprised us and that They have thanked many neighbors and tourists who have passed through this walk.

" The mayor added that this initiative has meant "the beginning of a friendship with the 'Fundación México' in order to carry out future projects" and "the beginning of a cultural summer that, with the pertinent security measures, has been developed in the Mirador de Bahía, very close to where we are, and which has shown the interest of the Department of Culture to defend this sector at a difficult time and for which the City Council will continue to support and support ".
