The plenary session approves a joint motion of all political groups in defense of the ambulance service in the municipality (01/10/2020)

| Two motions on illegal immigration and the problem of 'squatting' also come forward | All the political parties that make up the Plenary of the Mazarrón City Council requested the Regional Government to adopt the necessary agreements and measures so that the basic life support ambulance service based in Mazarrón that the Red Cross currently performs and until December 31st, the date on which the service will be impaired in our municipality after the new award of the Ambulance Service of the Murcian Health Service. In the new specifications of the contract that will come into force on January 1, this service that the Red Cross is providing with its basic life support ambulance with 2 health emergency technicians is not included. The Councilor for Health, Francisco José García, explained that, "we require the Murcian Health Service to carry out a tender or contract that covers this service through a basic life support ambulance with 2 health emergency technicians, 24 hours a day and 365 days a year, based in Mazarrón ".

A demand that was supported by all the municipal spokespersons of PSOE, UIDM, PP, C`s and VOX. Likewise, the mayor added that "we also ask that said service in no period be replaced by a non-assistance ambulance, and should be, in case of assigning this type of ambulance to our municipality, as a complement to the Basic Life Support Ambulance" and that "We are informed in writing to the City Council by whoever proceeds of the current administrative situation of the tender." The head of Health explained that "we demand that, as has been done so far, this service continues to be carried out in Mazarrón with the aim that the health of our neighbors is not at risk from January 1 of next year and even more so when we are the municipality that is furthest from our referral hospital.

We do not demand anything new, only that the service that has been provided during these years be maintained ", remarked Francisco José García. Another of the approved motions was the one proposed by the Vox Municipal Group on illegal immigration with the votes in favor of UIDM-C`S-VOX in which, among other aspects, the Government of the Nation was asked for more personal, legal and materials to reinforce the surveillance, detention and retention of illegal immigrants who enter our borders.

As well as the revision and expansion of the agreements for the return of illegal immigrants with their countries of origin. Another motion of the Popular Municipal Group also went forward unanimously through which all political parties agreed to an institutional declaration in which the Government of the Nation was urged to promote the appropriate legal measures in order to fight in an agile and effective illegal 'squatting' of homes in our municipality and for the repeated non-payment for several months of the rent by the tenants of these and commercial premises, thus guaranteeing the right to property, the safety of people and goods and coexistence Social.
