| The Spanish author announced his new work for the beginning of next year, a novel "much more intimate" with which he explains what is the truth for | The cycle 'Mares de Papel', whose premiere together with the journalist Marta Robles was a success and which until September 3 will fill the Mirador de Bahía with literature, continued yesterday with the conference of the Spanish writer Víctor del Árbol, who offered a interesting talk with which he tried to give a voice to the world of literature, but which also served to deal with other topics such as history or politics. Víctor del Árbol explained that "it is very important to celebrate culture and literature, since it is an environment that has never been easy, and more so in this country, where the word crisis has always been present." In this way, his exhibition revolved around the figure of the book, "which even with a multitude of innovations is still here, because it challenges us and talks about us, because literature is not just entertainment, it is another way of seeing life". The writer, who has been awarded important prizes such as the Grand Prize for Police Literature or the Black Novel Prize of Valencia, also spoke about how his life changed when he went from his work as Mosso d'Esquadra to a lover of literature and becoming a one of the most widely read writers in our country. He also announced the publication of his next novel, which will premiere early next year.

"I think it is going to be a groundbreaking novel with a lot of repercussion because it is something totally different from what I usually do, since I always opt for historical or black novels" explained the author.

But this time his objective is to publish a much more intimate novel, with which a reflection on the truth is shown, "with this new work I try to show what the truth is for, because we know it but we do nothing with it," he said.

Victor of the Tree. For her part, Lola Gracia stressed that it is a pleasure and an honor to have a writer like Víctor del Árbol "because he is an author who makes you immerse yourself in his stories, with which a different perspective on the human being is recreated "highlighting that" he is one of the few Spanish authors who has been named Knight of Letters and Arts of the French Academy "for his contribution to the cultural enrichment of French letters and the contribution of Spanish literature and its knowledge. The activity, as has become customary, was held under a strict protocol before Covid-19 so that attendees have all the hygienic-sanitary safeguards set by the authorities such as distancing, use of hydroalcoholic gel, disinfection of chairs, controlled access and limited capacity. The Deputy Mayor for Culture, Ginés Campillo, highlighted the great reception that another week has had this act "because we are on the right path to make the culture of Mazarrón a regional and national reference, as it already was at the time and as we are doing it now.

" In addition, he announced that "if all goes well and circumstances permit, on Friday 4 and Saturday 5 September there will be a festival of local concerts, with several groups every day, from 8:00 p.m.

to 1:00 a.m.

night "that will also be held in the magnificent enclave of the Mirador de Bahía.
