Pedro Acosta proclaims himself champion in the second round of the FIM CEV Repsol (14/07/2020)

| The Mazarron rider achieves victory in Algarve and positions himself as Moto3 leader | Effort and perseverance.

The Mazarron player Pedro Acosta, along with his MT Fuoundation 77 team, achieved victory in the second round of the FIM CEV Repsol, held yesterday at the Algarve circuit (Portugal), where he also managed to become Moto3 leader. Which means that he becomes the winner of the only series scoring for the FIM Moto3 Junior World Championship, after an intense final duel with his compatriot and winner of the first race of the year held in Estoril, Xavi Artigas, for so only 3 thousandths of a second.

However, Acosta prevailed on this occasion, and managed to beat his rival at the same goal line for only 17 thousandths.

In this way, and thanks to this victory, he is positioned as leader of the championship although equaled to 45 points with Artigas, who is second. According to official sources, at the end of the race, Acosta explained that "it was incredible after having the 'pole' with the fight we have had, I have spent the whole race thinking about how to face the last lap so that Estoril and Everything went well for me, I think Andreas has helped me from heaven, victory goes to him.

" In this way, the young man from Mazarron will have to continue demonstrating his talent at the FIM CEV Repsol, whose activity will continue on August 29 and 30.

This time in Spanish lands, specifically in the motor city, in Jerez, where two races will be held at the Ángel Nieto Circuit, while the last ones will be at MotorLand Aragón (October 3 and 4) and at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Valencia (October 31 and November 1).
