| Agent Pedro Vera, who has completed his work within the body, received a plaque as a tribute to his dedication and effort these years | The Mazarrón Local Police paid tribute this past Friday to their patron, the Sacred Heart of Jesus, with a mass in the church of San Andrés and an act held at the Parish Center in which different distinctions were awarded to various agents for successfully intervening in various operations and voluntarily go to the municipality of Los Alcázares to help during the DANA storm. The act was chaired by the Mayor of Mazarrón and head of the Local Police, Gaspar Miras, who recognized the work and excellent work carried out by municipal agents during the State of Alarm derived from the health crisis that we have been suffering for several months.
As Miras commented in his speech, "this act has an outstanding feeling of homage to our Local Police, for the great work they have done and continue to do to guarantee the safety and health of all citizens." The Chief of the Local Police of the municipality, Alberto Zomeño, also addressed a few words to his colleagues, who encouraged the officers to continue working and striving day by day in the current situation to give the response that citizens expect from this security body. The deputy mayor, Ginés Campillo, the staff mayor, Plácida Gómez, and Salvador Sánchez and Soledad Muñoz also represented the appointment, representing the Popular and Citizen municipal groups respectively.
The lieutenant and the brigade of the Civil Guard of the Port of Mazarrón, Antonio Alcaide and Francisco José Díaz, and the director of Civil Protection of Mazarrón, Pedro Hernández, also attended. Zomeño, along with the mayor, presented the different diplomas and recognitions to the agents who, for different reasons, have stood out this year.
In addition, the plaque was handed over to the agent Pedro Vera by the City Council, who has finished his work within the body after years of handing over and hard work.
"For all this I want to thank you on behalf of the people of Mazarrón and I reiterate here today my support so that together we continue working for the harmony and security of our municipality," concluded the mayor. Regarding the delivery of diplomas to the members of the Local Police for outstanding services in different operations, such as the elimination of the sale of narcotic substances on public roads, theft control or the persecution of sale and traffic of drugs, Cristóbal García, Manuel Merlos, Daniel Hurtado, José María Molina, Francisco Javier Izquierdo, Pedro Bruno, Juan García, Andrés Fernández and Pedro José López were recognized. The agents who volunteered outside of their working hours were also recognized in the municipality of Los Alcázares due to the serious problems caused by the DANA meteorological phenomenon.
Manuel Merlos, Juan Rafael Cáceres, Juan Francisco Muñoz, Asensio José were recognized Muñoz, Andrés Fernández, Francisco Javier Izquierdo, Andrés Sánchez, Pedro José López, Jesús Martínez, Adolfo Risueño and Antonio Javier Hernández.
