| The Councilor for Commerce, Silvia García, stresses the importance of improving the Internet presence in these moments of confinement | The Department of Commerce and Consumption has been preparing the 'Shops Near You' guide.

It collects a list of local businesses with updated information before the Alarm State so that citizens can find out the hours, address, telephone numbers and if they have home delivery.

The guide can be downloaded from the municipal website mazarron.es in the banner titled 'Tiendas Cerca'. The mayor of the area, Silvia García, has indicated that those who want to join the guide can send an email to the address comercio@mazarron.es indicating name, type of establishment, address, telephone number, population in which they are located and if they have home delivery service; in order to collect in it the largest number of shops, as some do not have any information on the Internet. The network is being a great ally in these moments of confinement, which is why Silvia García has stressed the importance for businesses of improving their image on the internet by updating their data.

For this, the councilor advises the different businesses and establishments to update their schedules and phones on the Internet, either on websites, social networks or search engines to which potential customers can go to request information. "Improving this image, produces greater brand recognition, greater economic gains and a better perception of the business," explained the mayor, who added that "all businesses have their part online and knowing how to take advantage of this opportunity will help them better face the difficulties that are present and that are looming in an economic scenario that is changing due to the health alert ". The Department of Commerce and Consumption, once the Alarm State is finished, will implement a plan to support Local Commerce, both for citizens to focus their purchases in the municipality, and for the establishments themselves to complete their digital transformation.
