On February 29 at the sports hall of 'La Cañadica' the celebration of the end of the regional table tennis day of the 2019/2020 School Sports program took place.
A championship that has been held since last February 1.
Likewise, the different categories have been facing game after game with the objective of qualifying for that final and with that, get first place.
The categories Benjamín, Alevín, Infantil, Cadete and Juvenil, both female and male, participated in this competition from 09:30 in the morning.
For their part, the games in the juvenile and men's category were played by the World Cup system, that is, five games without doubles with victory for the team with three games won;
while the meetings in the Benjamin and Women's category were disputed by the Courvillón Cup System, four individual matches and a double.
It should be remembered that members of all schools in the Region of Murcia participated in this competition, a conference organized by the General Directorate of Sports whose final was held in our municipality thanks to the support of the Department of Sports.
The IES Institute 'Felipe II', represented by the students Christian Catevilla, Sebastián Cortés and Sebastián Moreno, participated in the male cadet category.
The physical preparation and responsibility of the team members was directed by Francisco Javier Martínez Díaz, a graduate in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences.
A preparation that was reflected in the great game that during the school day they have demonstrated, thus obtaining a place in the final and with it, a more than deserved result.
The trophies were presented by the Councilor for Sports, Francisco José García, and the Councilor for Tourism, Raquel Raja.
