The Town Hall Plenary Hall hosted the awards ceremony to the participants in the V Route of the Belen of Mazarrón by the mayor, Gaspar Miras, and the deputy mayor of Culture, Ginés Campillo.
Both delivered the diplomas as well as belenista figures, chosen by themselves, with which the participants of this edition will be able to enlarge their nativity scenes.
The awards were given to Belén Méndez, the Association of Elderly People of Mazarrón, Francisco Méndez, Belén de la Cueva de Eusebio García, Alberto Martínez Avilés, ANJU, Social Center for the Elderly of Puerto de Mazarrón and the Parish of San José;
during an act in which the councilors Plácida Gómez and Raquel Raja were also present.
The deputy mayor of Culture, Ginés Campillo, thanked the participants for their work "to keep the tradition alive in these difficult times to maintain because there is a current that rules otherwise."
The mayor stressed that this effort "is worthy of praise and important to be rewarded by the City Council, recognizing that maintenance of traditions to pass from generation to generation, as I am seeing here that there are very young people who follow the tradition."
A few words that were endorsed by the mayor of Mazarrón, Gaspar Miras, who commented that "it is the unanimous opinion we have from the current Government Team" encouraging attendees that "year after year you create school and tradition among your children and grandchildren which is possibly the biggest thing there can be. "
