This Wednesday, February 19, 2020, the members of the Local Coordination Table against Gender Violence of the Municipality met in the City Council of Mazarrón.
The meeting was attended by Mrs. Luisa Barreda, head of the Gender Violence Unit of the Government Delegation in Murcia.
The mayor of Mazarrón welcomed the participants to the meeting that was chaired by the Councilor for Social Policy, Miguel Ángel Peña.
The appointment was attended by a high number of professionals from different areas that, in one way or another, are related to this problem.
Throughout the meeting, the importance of carrying out awareness-raising actions as a prevention among young people in the municipality was discussed, the work being carried out in this task by the Educational Centers, which when working with them in Directly, they detect, more easily and early, alarm signals and situations of vulnerability, which allow them to intervene and provide the necessary help in each case.
Attendees also realized the activities scheduled for the International Women's Day, which is celebrated on March 8.
The Department of Social Policy has prepared a wide schedule for the month of March that will be announced along with the name of the Mazarronera Woman this year.
