This Saturday, February 8, the sports hall of 'La Aceña' hosts the 1st LAN PARTY Mazarrón Technological Event to be held from 4 in the afternoon.
The initiative of the Department of Youth has a double aspect.
On the one hand, the recreational part will have a videogame zone and a computer LAN zone that will have high-speed fiber optic Internet signal thanks to the local company 'Telesatélite Mazarrón' that will transfer the signal for free.
The other side will have an educational component with the holding of three talks of the project 'GEGL' (Global education begins in your town) in which the emphasis will be placed on the objectives of sustainable development to improve our planet.
Specifically, objectives 5, 11 and 12 that correspond to gender equality, sustainable cities and communities, and responsible production and consumption will be addressed.
Participation in these talks, which are called to attend both young people and their parents, will be rewarded with a shirt.
In this way, young people, children, fathers and mothers will see the world of videogames from different perspectives, with a gender perspective, responsible consumption or the role of parents, also making participants their own sustainable city through video games.
Specifically, at half past five the talk entitled 'The inclusion of women in video games' will be held.
At half past 7 we will talk about responsible consumption and production of video games and at half past 8 in the afternoon video games and new technologies will be addressed in sustainable cities, which will be followed by videogame PC championships to create sustainable cities.
In addition, in the recreational part, it should be noted that there will be a free play area for children to play video games adapted to them and there will be a canteen service from 4 in the afternoon to midnight, with the possibility of dinner at economic prices
