The departments of Social Policy and Education, represented by their headlines Miguel Angel Peña and Conchi Aparicio, held a meeting with representatives of the different educational centers of the municipality to publicize a new training and family mediation and child care service post underway from the City Hall.
The initiative is funded by the Ministry of Social Rights and the 2030 Agenda and the Ministry of Social Policy, Women, Equality, LGTBI and Families of the CARM.
The new project aims to improve communications and relationships between parents and children through training sessions that will be taught in schools.
Together with a training program also aimed at AMPAS, interested families and those who already have problems of various kinds such as addiction prevention (gambling, social networks, videogames) will be trained and attended, as well as efficient communication models or Family violence prevention.
The training for families will be given in educational centers and family mediation will take place in the library of Puerto de Mazarrón and the Mazarrón Adult Center.
In addition, the project also plans to develop a Child Care program that will be developed in the schools of La Aceña, Manuela Romero and San Antonio with leisure and free time activities for children between 3 and 12 years that will start next month of March.
These initiatives are added to the 5 Christmas schools to reconcile family and work life (Government of Spain and CARM funds) that had an excellent reception and to the program of reconciliation of work and private life (funded by the European Social Fund) with Extracurricular activities for students whose fathers and mothers work or receive formal training in public employment services and which is being developed in Francisco Caparrós, Bahía and San Antonio schools.
