The General Directorate of the Environment has activated level 3 due to pollution of Saharan dust in several municipalities of the Region, including Mazarrón.
To mitigate the effects of high levels of contamination by suspended particles (PM10) it is necessary to carry out a series of restrictions and recommendations.
In Mazarrón, as a main measure, burning of plant residues and pruning from landscaping is completely prohibited to prevent contamination levels by suspended particles from being accentuated.
Likewise, restrictions on the use of private vehicles are advised.
In case it is necessary to make use of it, it is recommended to conduct an efficient driving, avoiding stops and sudden starts and reducing speed.
In the same way it is advisable to minimize energy consumption and avoid the practice of intense physical exercise outdoors.
