The Madrid artist Alejandro Carpintero, who dazzled this past summer with his pictorial exhibition entitled 'The Summer Sealed', returns to the municipality to, on this occasion, teach a painting workshop.
During the activity, which will take place on Saturday, January 18 from 10am to 2pm and from 4pm to 9pm and on Sunday, from 10am to 2pm, Carpenter will hold various demonstrations that will allow you to show and share your knowledge with the participants.
In addition, he will guide and accompany the attendees in the creation of their own work throughout the workshop.
The workshop is free and participants will only have to bring the necessary materials for the preparation of their work: a canvas (55x 46 cm.);
brushes and paletinas of various types and sizes;
various oil colors (lemon cadmium yellow, medium cadmium yellow, medium cadmium red, dark carmine, quinacridone rose, permanent violet red, ultramarine dark blue, dark emerald green, titanium white);
side table, rags or paper;
turpentine, spatula, containers, large palette, and pencils.
The activity is intended both for people who want to start painting and for those who already paint and want to give a more professional and contemporary character to their works.
Up to 20 students can participate in it and registration can be done by calling 659 08 12 09 from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
During the workshop very different aspects will be discussed, but essential for the creation of a work.
On the one hand, methods for the organization of work, the creation of sketches, the choice of models, the presentation of the finished work and the photography of works will be worked on.
And on the other, attendees can delve into different styles such as realism, impressionism and post-impressionism;
as well as various techniques, and other aspects of great importance such as the use of light, color, texture, expression, etc.
Alejandro Carpintero (Madrid, 1981), is a multidisciplinary artist with a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Madrid and a scholarship from Leed Metropolitan University of Art (Yorkshire, United Kingdom).
The Madrid artist has exhibited in prestigious institutions around the world such as the Japan Hoki Museum (Tokyo), The Blue Ant gallery (Madrid), the Passage COA gallery (Montreal), the Artelibre gallery (Zaragoza) and the MEAM Museum ( Barcelona), among others.
