The Film Workshop held this year at the Seniors Day Center, has been one of the new bets of the courses that the center usually offers.
As noted by the director of the same, Bartolomé Madrid, "we wanted to innovate and the result of this workshop we will see this Thursday with the screening of the short film entitled '17 .919 'that the students of the workshop have made with the help of their teachers during a gala of cinema that we have prepared from 5 in the afternoon ".
One of them is Isabel Carvajal, a graduate in Audiovisual Communication, who was very satisfied with the work developed by the students and revealed that "the title of the short film corresponds to the start date of the workshop: September 17, 2019".
Carvajal explained the process that had been followed in the creation of the short film with the concretion of an idea, the development of the characters and the final script that has served to carry out the short film that presents the "profiles of three very different families but very real, "Carvajal said.
The other person in charge of the workshop has been Nino García, who has extensive experience in making short films and performing arts.
García encouraged the City Council to continue betting on activities of this type "because in Mazarrón there have always been many people interested in Cinema" and presented the actors of the short film and that they are Eva Marcial, Rosa Pérez, Juan Alfonso Valverde, Ana Toledo, Juan López, Juan Miguel Elvira, Jay John Christopher Buckley, Manuel Gómez, Mercedes Cabrerizo, Rocío Segovia and Maite Gómez.
All received the congratulations from the mayor of Mazarrón, Gaspar Miras, the Councilor for Culture, Ginés Campillo, and the mayor of Social Policy, Miguel Ángel Peña, who highlighted the work of students and teachers, as well as the director of the Center Seniors Day to boost the activities carried out in it.
This projection is framed within the Christmas program of the Center that this Thursday, 19, celebrates, from 10 in the morning, the party of the Alzheimer's Unit and other dementias.
Already in the afternoon, after 5, the film gala will take place with the screening of the aforementioned short film.
On Friday 20th, from 4:30 in the afternoon, the Great Christmas Party of the center is celebrated with exhibitions, theater and performances as well as the inauguration of the Bethlehem.
On Saturday 21, from 12:30, the center will receive a visit from the Rondalla de Mazarrón.
