Recently, the Councilor for Archive and Libraries, Conchi Aparicio, was present at the General Archive of the Region of Murcia for the delivery of the new document scanning of the Municipal Archive of Mazarrón within the Crimson project.
On this occasion, the Chapter Acts of the years 1800 to 1829 have been digitized, which involve the work of putting on the network more than 2700 images belonging to our municipality.
This digitization work is part of the agreement that the City Council of Mazarrón signed with the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, through the Ministry of Industry and Environment, the Ministry of Education and Culture, the Integra Foundation, the Seneca Foundation and the Agency of Science and Technology of the Region of Murcia;
for the development of the 'Crimson' project (Catalog of Archives of the Region of Murcia in the Information Society).
That is, for the cataloging and digitalization of the documentary historical heritage of the Region of Murcia.
This agreement in force since 2006, has led to the digitalization of the following documentation kept in the Municipal Archives: Documents of Carlos I, Chapter Acts from 1565 to 1829, press of both the Municipal Archives and private individuals, standards until the 18th century.
