On Sunday, November 24, the adult band of the music school of the Musical Association âMaestro Eugenio Calderónâ celebrated the day of Santa Cecilia, patron saint of musicians, with a concert focused on children, especially children under three .
Everyone present, mainly the little ones, enjoyed this concert that was structured according to the methodology followed in the baby school classes of music school;
in them, movement and interaction with music are indispensable requirements, so babies, accompanied by their mother or father, play and have fun with music while learning to listen and differentiate sounds, bars or rhythms and coordinate movements ..
The concert of the adult band, directed by D. Alejandro Castañeda Martínez, was held in the courtyard of the Cultural Center and consisted of seven short and varied pieces such as Slidin 'the blues or We Will rock you, not forgetting children's works such as Drilo, the crocodile or Baby Shark.
The audience, on the carpet extended on the floor, accompanied all the musical pieces with movements, keys, colored ribbons, bells ..., sometimes sitting at other times, jumping or walking, following the instructions of D. Bartolomé Cánovas.
The Music Band of the Association will offer the traditional concert of Santa Cecilia next Sunday, December 1, at nine thirty at night, in the municipal tent of the Plaza de la Purísima, in the framework of the festivities.
This Symphonic Tributes concert will feature the collaboration of singers Miguel Ángel Miras and Irene Tudela, who will perform different songs by renowned Spanish and international artists such as Alaska, Nino Bravo or Frank Sinatra among many others.
During the concert, new musicians who join the Band will be welcomed this year.
