The Local Board of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) has presented its solidarity calendar that this year, and under the title 'In Wings of Dance', collects 14 images related to different musicals made by photographer Juan Francisco Belmar and with the elders of the Social Center of Puerto de Mazarrón as protagonists.
The aforementioned center hosted the presentation of the calendar, sponsored by Agrícola Perichán, and was attended by the mayor of Mazarrón, Gaspar Miras, the president of the Local Board of the AECC, Luisa María Heredia, the general director of the IMAS, Raquel Cancela, the Deputy Director General of Older Persons, María Auxiliadora Moreno, and the photographer himself.
The calendar can be purchased at the Social Center for the Elderly of Puerto de Mazarrón and at the Tamuffy establishment in Mazarrón at the price of 5 euros and "soon more points of sale will be enabled" as commented by Luisa María Heredia who stressed that this calendar " it is made in the wings of hope, because it is made with great joy, great enthusiasm and great hope to fight this disease. "
The photographer Juan Francisco Belmar recalled the germ of this initiative that was a series of photographs that were taken of the representation of the work 'La Verbena de la Paloma' directed by the late Rafael Castillo that resulted in the first charity calendar.

The mayor of Mazarrón, Gaspar Miras, stressed that "it is a great initiative that I encourage that year after year be carried out" detailing and thanking each of the collaborators who have made it possible to achieve it.
The first mayor, who was accompanied by other members of the government team, congratulated the elders, photographer and the president of the AECC "for this great work that once again demonstrates the solidarity of our people."
