The Local Police of Mazarrón, through its agent Magdalena Valverde, has given training to the 44 remaining municipalities of the Region in a practical conference on Road Education that was held yesterday in the capital and that had the presence of the Government Delegate in Murcia, Francisco Jiménez, and the Chief Traffic Officer of Murcia, Virginia Jerez.
The Local Police of Mazarrón has been one of the bodies chosen, along with those of five other municipalities selected by Traffic (Murcia, Alhama, Jumilla, Molina de Segura and Torres de Cotillas) to be an active participant in the so-called annual days of good practice in Road Education.
The talk, given by Valverde, aroused the interest of the attendees realizing the expansion of the Road Safety program in Mazarrón, not only to schoolchildren, but to groups such as the elderly, pregnant women and special education.
The subscription of the City Council of Mazarrón to the "STARS" project of the DGT was also highlighted, being a pioneer in the Region to implement access to educational centers in a sustainable way, avoiding the massive use of motor vehicles and favoring Road Safety in Mazarrón and The respect to the environment.
Valverde was accompanied by the head of the Local Police, Alberto Zomeño.
