The Elderly Day Center celebrated its 11th anniversary with great success with a splendid party in which Juan Pérez Martínez, president of the Club of Retired and Pensioners of Mazarrón, received the recognition of 'Major of the Year 2019' from the first lieutenant Mayor, Ginés Campillo, and the Councilor for Social Policy, Miguel Angel Peña, who congratulated the winner praising his commitment and tireless work at the head of the Club of Retirees and Pensioners of Mazarrón.
Also present at the celebration were the mayor of Mazarrón, Gaspar Miras, who, in addition to congratulating the honoree and all the elders for being the protagonists of the event, dedicated a few words to those present highlighting the importance of "respecting and listening to our elders they are a source of wisdom ";
as well as the councilors of the Government team Plácida Gómez, Tomás Ureña, José María Moreno, Raquel Raja, Francisco José García and Silvia García.
In the middle of a festive atmosphere, the elders could enjoy the performance of the choir 'La Purísima' of Mazarrón, as well as a group poetry made by various members of the center in which they answered the question 'How old are I?' .
To end the afternoon, those present shared a snack and party by the Association of the Elderly in which the birthday cake was not lacking.
Precisely, Juan Martínez was in charge of blowing the candles accompanied by family and friends, as well as the director of the center, Bartolomé Madrid, who wanted to thank the work and support that the workers of the same have provided during these days in the preparation of this anniversary and in which all have put their grain of sand so that users enjoy a day of fun and conviviality
