The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia, in the framework of the operation 'JIPIJAY', has arrested an experienced criminal in the town of Puerto de Mazarrón-Mazarrón who is credited with the alleged authorship of theft crime with force in homes sitas in the Bay of Puerto de Mazarrón-Mazarrón Ordination.
After the operation, which is framed in the 'Plan against theft in homes', the Civil Guard has clarified four crimes of theft, not ruling out the involvement of the now detained in other criminal acts of a similar nature.
Citizens of Prevention of Citizen Security of the Benemérita began the operation at the beginning of the month, to investigate a series of robberies committed in houses located in the Puerto de Mazarrón-Mazarrón Bay Planning, facts that had caused social alarm among the population.
The first steps of the investigation were directed to know and analyze the modus operandi used to access the homes, as well as to establish surveillance devices to prevent the commission of other robberies and, where appropriate, react quickly to try to frustrate them.
The exhaustive technical-ocular inspections carried out in the assaulted buildings allowed verifying that the robberies had been committed by stopover until reaching the upper balconies or terraces of the buildings and then forcing windows or bars.
Once inside, they seized all kinds of objects that were easy to transport and commercialize in the illicit market.
Citizen collaboration
The Civil Guard has had citizen collaboration, which has allowed the investigation to focus on a well-known criminal in the area, an individual with a bulky record for property crimes, who had been seen by the neighborhoods of some of the homes assaulted .
The surveillance device developed around the suspect allowed to verify that he used the knowledge he had of the area to carefully study the location of his target, homes that were generally assaulted during the day, taking advantage of the absence of their owners.
Once the domicile of the suspect is located, the Benemérita, after establishing numerous vigilances, has identified and detained a 51-year-old male, a Spanish national and a neighbor of Puerto de Mazarrón Mazarrón as the alleged perpetrator of crimes against the estate for theft with force in four addresses of Puerto de Mazarrón-Mazarrón.
The agents have recovered and returned to their rightful owner a bicycle that had been stolen from one of the properties.
According to the investigation, the arrested man seized objects of all kinds that he quickly disposed of, selling them in the illicit market, with the supposed intention of obtaining immediate benefits, as well as not to keep in his possession objects that could relate it to thefts.
The operation 'JIPIJAY' has culminated in the arrest of an experienced criminal as the alleged perpetrator of at least four crimes of robbery with force in housing, in addition to the recovery of a stolen bicycle.
The arrested, the effects recovered and the proceedings taken have been made available to the Court of Instruction of Totana (Murcia).
