The city council will transfer to the autonomous community the damages caused by the DANA (15/09/2019)

The Minister of Industry, Business and Spokesman of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia (CARM), Ana Martínez, and the mayor of Mazarrón, Gaspar Miras, have visited this morning several points of the municipality of Mazarrón to know the damage caused by the DANA step, which will be transferred to the regional government to be included among the needs to take into account within the request to declare to the Region of Murcia catastrophic area that will be elevated to the central government.

The counselor and the mayor have been accompanied by the Councilor for the Environment, Plácida Gómez, and the Councilor for Services, Tomás Ureña;

as well as of the general directors of Industry, Energy and Mining Activity, Eduardo Piné;

Business Innovation and Defense of the Self-Employed and SMEs, María José Ros, and European Union, Juan José Martínez.

Among the places visited have been the D-4 road as it passes through the Las Moreras promenade, which for prevention is still cut off to road traffic, the area of ​​the Rambla de Los Aznares and the bridge that connects sectors B and C in Camposol, the area of ​​the mines, the Civil Protection and SEM units and the Mazarrón Fire Station where Ana Martínez has personally collected the needs exposed by firefighters to transfer them to his partner Beatriz Ballesteros, the Minister of Transparency, Participation and Administration Public

The City Council has pledged to remit to the regional government those damages caused by DANA, especially those in areas of districts such as Ifre-Cañada de Gallego, Ifre-Patrana and El Saladillo;

to be included in the request to the Government of Spain of the declaration of the Region of Murcia as a catastrophic zone that the CARM Government Council approved yesterday met in an extraordinary way.

The mayor of Mazarrón, Gaspar Miras, has highlighted "the good predisposition of the counselor and its general directors so that both administrations work together and improve the quality of life and safety of the citizens of both Mazarrón, as well as the rest of the Region of Murcia , who has suffered this serious misfortune. An event that should make us reflect to understand that the important thing is that we must work together and close our shoulders to recover, as soon as possible, normalcy in our beloved Region. "
