The City Council of Mazarrón advises the residents of the municipality that during the days of Thursday and Friday try to avoid unnecessary displacement in anticipation of heavy rains.

In case of an emergency, citizens are reminded that the most correct thing is to call the 112 emergency number of the Region of Murcia, both to transfer an emergency and to request some type of information about the activated alert.

The recommendations of 112 at home in this situation is to clean roofs, decks, downspouts and drains of the house.

Check the places in your house that can flood and protect them.

Place documents and valuables out of reach of water.

Teach the whole family to disconnect water, electricity and gas.

Prepare water, food and medicines you may need.

Also, find out about the weather forecast through the media, website and social networks of the City Council of Mazarrón and other profiles on social networks such as 112. Stay away from water currents, especially waterways.

Do not park in its channel or cross on foot or by car where the water runs, as the current could drag you.

Avoid displacements.

If it rains a lot, it is better not to leave and, if so, use public transport and try to travel on main roads.
