Hundreds of people between boys and girls, sports trainers and fathers and mothers met last Sunday at the Media Legua sports complex within the First Baseball Tournament organized by the Bala Azul Sports Club with the collaboration of the Department of Sports of the City Council of Mazarrón.
An appointment also attended by the mayor, Francisco José García, and the Councilors for Youth and Tourism, Silvia García and Raquel Raja.
In total, 22 teams from 10 different clubs from the Region of Murcia participated, bringing 350 children to the municipality who measured themselves in liguillas within the Benjamin, Alevín, Infantil and Cadete categories.
In the Benjamin category, the champion was Real Murcia while runner-up turned out to be the CD Bala Azul of Puerto de Mazarrón.
In the Alevín category, the winning team was Atlético Sangonera, while runner-up was the Totana Soccer School.
In the Infant category, the Ronda Sur de Murcia Soccer School rose to the top of the podium accompanied by the Águilas Soccer School, which was runner-up.
Finally, in the Cadet category the champion was the Playas de Águilas and runner-up of the La Vaguada Sports Association of Cartagena.
